Winchburgh Poem 2018

Conversation Street...
Maureen O'Hara has just tried to purchase some sage at Sainsbury's but none could be found - A Winchburgh poem was created...

A Sage Tale

She searched among the hedgerows
And asked in local shops
But the day was hot
When sage was sought

The cook was fraught
But, then, a thought:
The planted village boxes!
Available to the community for free.

Hail the box-makers and planters!
The Tally Ho proved handy
To pick herb leaves
Then pop in for a brandy.
