Say, what?
As this is a mobile based/map game we invite all families to share the experience together and take part in additional activities at the 'Haunted Hub' - You could still go 'Guising' after the event but hopefully you'll win great prizes at the community garden too. Loads of super spooky prizes for wee ones and even treats for grown ups - something for all the family!

Purpose?
Provide an additional event in the village you could even add to your own activities.
Help Winchburgh Community Growing Group...grow.
Any donations received will ensure we can keep our planters flourishing into 2019!
Scare Halloween vampires with garlic in October, enjoy the foliage in spring, harvest free garlic in summer! Don't forget about our free Pumpkin seeds and freshly made hot popcorn from our stall!

Who supports this?
We hope the village plays, supports and wins something! We're also thankful to Winchburgh Community Council for supporting the event to help further engage everyone in the community with the growing group.
We're also extremely thankful to all local  volunteers, businesses, and organisations for supporting and making this community event extra special.

Winchburgh Rocks!
We've also teamed up with Winchburgh Rocks - Founded in August 2018 they have over 350 members and are a fairly active stone painting, hiding, finding group. You can discover Halloween Painted rocks in the Halloween Hunt this year!
Want to join in the fun before 31st October? Join the facebook page or...
Simply follow the 10 simple steps below.
1. Paint them!
2. Hide them!
3. Find them!
4. Be as creative as you like..each pebble is it's own little work of art
5. You can collect as many pebbles as you like.
6. Take a picture of the ones you find and post them to this facebook page > Winchburgh Rocks
7. Re-hide them in a new location once you have found them!
8. If you are collecting pebbles to paint.. please don't take them from private property
9. If you are hiding or hunting for pebbles stay aware of your surroundings and keep to public access areas only.
10. Write on the bottom of the pebble to tell us your name and "Winchburgh Rocks"

How does the game work?
App based/paper map game - Once downloaded or maps collected you'll spot ghosts, ghouls and more on the map > travel to them and pick up/collect a Halloween related item > scan the QR code with your device or return the relic to the haunted hub and see if you've won a prize!
Claim your prize and join in with some great activities at the Community Garden (next to the garage/old post office site)

Why?
Inspire a community event that, if successful could be come an annual event. How about an 'EasterEggHunt' extravaganza for Spring 2019? We hope to engage more support for the group in autumn and early spring.
